NSEW 2004
The third National Student Employment Week took place 16th - 20th February 2004 and was sponsored by Ladbrokes.
NASES distributed marketing and promotional materials to all NASES members with over 60 student employment services from across the UK particpating in NSEW hosting events designed to help bring students and employers together.
The events were varied and included hosting Jobs Fairs, employer mailouts and, prize draws.
The University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union job shop, The Bridge held ‘Improve your Job Prospects’ workshops. The day comprised of short plays on interview scenarios, activities to help students realise their skills, workshops on getting the best out of your CV, talks from local companies on what they look for in staff and how they can obtain more skills and the chance to discuss any problems or queries with staff from UCLAN Careers, UCLAN Volunteering UNIT, The Bridge and Preston Business Venture.
