This is a national competition to identify the International Student Employee of the Year with local and regional winners identified and the overall national winner announced at an Awards Ceremony at the annual NASES conference in July.
It was successfully launched in 2008 and repeated in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

The award aims to recognise and promote the contributions and achievements of international students who combine part-time work with their study commitments. The International Student Employee of the Year Award 2010, funded by PMI2, was awarded to Saskia Wischnewski studying marine biology at the University of Aberdeen, who worked part-time as a hotel receptionist at a Premier Inn. Her case study is on the NASES morethanwork website at ISEOTY 2010 - Saskia.
