The creation of an online international fair, open to all AGCAS members and students, marking the positive culmination to a focused research project which will generate international alumni participation and engagement with international employers.
International alumni and international employers would be centrally involved within the online careers fair. International alumni located overseas and in the UK would be introduced and presented to current international students via a photo, a brief story about their career path since graduation and current job role. They would participate on themed topics via online chats. For example, job hunting tips in China, a view on what employers within their industry are looking for, experiences on seeking work in the UK on a post study work visa after graduation. Secondly, employers will be approached to exhibit on the site and to advertise their vacancy opportunities. The project report is available now.
In addition an interactive CD ROM has been produced with case studies and videos, you can download the contents here: UCLAN The Link CD 1 and UCLAN The Link CD 2. These are zipped files which you should download and unzip into one folder, then to run the contents which were on the CD click on the Link icon to open the Link interface.
