NSEW 2008
National Student Employment Week is an annual event organised by NASES when student employment services from across the UK host events designed to help bring students and employers together. NASES organises activity on a National level and individual job shops co-ordinate local and regional events.
Student Employment will be celebtrated throughout the country during October this year, with specific activity happening during the week of 6th October 2008.

Unitemps - WARWICK UNIVERSITY are hosting 'Unitemps Student of the Year Award' The awards event will be on Friday 10th October. One of our clients is sponsoring the prizes so 1st prize winner will get £250, 2nd £100 and 3th £50. We will enter the winners for the NASES SEOTY later in the year.
Careers & Jobshop - SOUTHAMPTON SOLENT UNIVERSITY Were hoping to have a whole series of employer stands and talks throughout national student employment week in the our main concourse.
JOBLINK - ABERYSTWYTH UNIVERSITY are holding a series of Passport to Work workshops for International Students during NSEW this year in addition to hosting a Jobs Fair for local employers.
Northumbria University and The University of Newcastle are holding a joint Jobs Fair during National Student Employment week, hoping to attract over 5,000 students and 50 employers.
The Student Employment Agency at the UNIVERSITY OF DERBY together with the Career Development Centre will be working on enhancing and developing the employability of our students. This will be done through recruitment drives from well known organisations, such as Buxton Mineral Water, Sainsbury's and Alton Towers, to the Ambassador Scheme that runs internally. There will also be an opportunity for students to attend a CV clinic enabling them to get a quick diagnosis on their CV, as well as online skills testing. The WORKPLACE at the UNIVERSITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON is holding employer drop-in sessions all week for students who are looking for part-time work. It proved very popular last year.
