NASES membership recognises you as a student employment professional and demonstrates your organisation’s commitment to the student employment sector. Your institution can demonstrate NASES membership and professional status by using the NASES membership logo on service promotional materials and stationery (logo and usage guidelines can be found on the member's logo page). In addition, you will be provided with a NASES Membership certificate to display in your service area. Your service details and a link to your institution and service will be displayed to student employment services, students and employers in the NASES Job Shop listing.

Members will receive the NASES Newsletter each quarter and a monthly e-news update. The website, including members' only section, is updated regularly and a variety of regional and project based jiscmail lists (including access to jiscmail communication archives) and forums are also used for discussion.
NASES Members are divided into seven regions: London and South East; Midlands; North East; North West; Scotland and Northern Ireland; South West; and Wales. Regional groups provide regular opportunities for services to take part in regular meetings, events, training and online discussions with other local services. NASES operates several websites to provide members with access to a wealth of intelligence that will enhance your service operation. To utilise the members' only resources you will need to log in. Once you have joined the association you will automatically be registered to the site.
NASES Members have FREE access to the NASES Business Support Helpline a legal telephone help-line provided by Croner, offering advice and guidance across a broad range of business issues that affect job shops. Information about the service will be sent to you along with your membership certificate.
NASES provides a number of networking platforms and opportunities in order to facilitate peer support. These include the national and regional jiscmail lists, regional meetings, working parties conferences and factsheets for practitioners and students.
You have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders by attending events such as our annual Conference (NASES members benefit from reduced delegate fees.) Participate in annual NASES run events and campaigns such as National Student Employment Week, Morethanwork Month, and Student Employee of the Year Awards to raise awareness about student employment and raise your department's profile on and off campus. When sponsorship is received for initiatives members will receive free marketing materials for these events otherwise we will provide you with electronic materials you can print yourself. NASES provides a programme of one day training events and professional development opportunities to support and encourage those in the sector to develop relevant skills, and professional student employment services. In addition NASES support Postgraduate Qualifications in the Management of Student Work Experience, these are offered at Certificate, Diploma and Master level by the University of Warwick. NASES has negotiated a range of discounts and special offers exclusively for members on a wide range of key products and services - simply quote “NASES” to get your discount. Details can be found on the “Membership discounts” page of the Members-only website.
Volunteer your time & talents to further develop the student employment sector, NASES relies on members to take the sector further and there are lots of opportunities to get involved such as standing for NASES Executive, running a workshop at Conference or participating in a working party.
There are also many opportunities for members to participate and develop skills from the comfort of your own office or home - small chunks of activity can be done at your convenience with no long term commitment. You can help student employment even in your pyjamas!
