Careers advice and guidance

• Brightside UNIAID - a national education charity supporting young people aged 14-25, parents and guardians, schools and higher and further education institutions by providing advice and resources relating to higher education, finance and careers.

Commerce and trade

• Business Link - free business support and advice service.
  
• Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) - encourages partnerships between academics, business and graduates in order to increase competition and productivity within the UK.
  
• National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (NCGE) - supports graduates into business, promoting the option of starting their own business, and encourages a more entrepreneurial culture in higher education.
  
• Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP) - promotes the impact of undergraduates on small businesses and offers undergraduate project-based work within small to medium enterprises.

Higher and further education

• Aim Higher - increasing awareness of and accessiblity to higher education. The scheme closed on the 31 July 2011, however the site still holds useful information about progression into higher education.
