Volunteering is a great way to make a difference to your community and to express your values, whilst enhancing your personal and professional development.

There is a range of information available from Volunteering England, the national volunteering development organisation for England.

Volunteering England encourage students to contact their college or university's student volunteering programme, usually based within your careers service, students' union or student support service. The volunteer co-ordinator should be able to provide students with details of volunteering positions within the institution and local community.

In addition, there are a number of resources available to help students to articulate the skills that they have developed through volunteering.
